After finding the home that you would like to buy, a mortgage is arranged and a conyeyancer is instructed to address the legal work linked with buying a property. They will make sure that you are legally buying it, run any searches that may be required, draw up contracts, deal with all the monies to be transferred (including stamp duty)
Finding a good solicitor is easy with many CQS (Conveyancing Quality Scheme) accredited ones around. Many lenders have panels of conveyancing firms that are allowed to deal with that particular lender. Be careful not to instruct one until you know who the lender will be and then you can choose one from their panel.
We refer conveyancing services to a third party legal services provider.
